About Us
Welcome to the Texas Plains Chapter
Welcome to the Texas Plains Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP). If you are a development professional, a volunteer involved in the philanthropic process, interested in fundraising as a career, or just want to know more about AFP, we welcome you!
While the Texas plains have a deep history of philanthropy and giving is part of the "Panhandle Spirit", we as professional fundraisers cannot take it for granted. The future of philanthropy is constantly changing as society need for non-profit services increases and the non-profit community's need for contributions grows with it. Changes in the ways and reasons donors give often causes us to pause and ask how we can better serve those who serve us.
With 59 members, AFP Texas Plains Chapter expands the capabilities of area fundraisers through education, networking and collaboration efforts. By equipping these professionals, and by building public awareness of the power of philanthropy, AFP Texas Plains Chapter champions philanthropy as a cause -- an element essential to our community's future.
